Učenička mobilnost u Inčukalns, Latvija - Dan peti
Autor: Ana Marelić, 23. 5. 2025.

I woke up at 8 AM and quickly rushed to breakfast with my roommate. We had cereal and milk, then hurried to get dressed and packed everything we needed for the day into our bags. On our way to school, we met two of our friends and walked together.

Once we arrived, we gathered in the school auditorium where we watched a detailed presentation about all the previous days. First, we looked at the completed tasks from the ActionBound app. Unfortunately, our team experienced some sort of error, and the videos and photos we had recorded weren’t visible. Even the name we had given our team didn’t show up, so the Erasmus team simply called us “Team Invisible.”

After that, we saw the reports we had written about our trip to the capital city, Riga. Finally, we watched the films we had made the previous day using different techniques and scenarios. Our group created a puppet show using socks to tell the story of a king and his servant who didn’t get along very well. It was so much fun to film!

Later, we had some free time. The Latvian students went to their school classes, while we, the Croatian group, took a walk around the center of Inčukalns. We visited a shop and a nearby park before heading to lunch.

We ate at a restaurant owned by my host’s parents. Pizza was on the menu, and we all ordered different kinds—I chose tuna. After lunch came the sad part: we said goodbye to the Swedish guests. They were also very emotional. It felt quite different after they left. They boarded a train back to Riga, and although it felt strange at first, we got used to the change after a few hours.

Later, we took part in an interesting workshop at the school. We made bracelets out of rope with little charms—they turned out really pretty! After that, we made colorful, scented candles, which looked and smelled amazing.

When the workshop ended, we went back to the same restaurant. Some ordered pizza, some just drinks; I had a milkshake, and it was delicious. We took one last short walk, but since it was already 6 PM, I still hadn’t started packing for the trip home the next day.

We said goodbye to some people we wouldn’t see in the morning. Once I got home, I packed everything, and it surprisingly didn’t take as long as I expected. Then, my host and I talked about our impressions of the project, wrote down some memories, and said goodbye to her two dogs. For dinner, we had potatoes and meat, and afterward, I called my mom.

That’s how our last day—the fifth day of the Erasmus project—came to an end.
